Olive Oil Tasting in Jaen

What is the key to Mediterranean cuisine? Its raw materials are undoubtedly its great appeal and, among them, the extra virgin olive oil is a hallmark of its identity. In the province of Jaen, this characteristic product has many varieties. In order to learn how to tell them apart, we'll meet at number 32 Corredera de San Fernando. At this central address in Ubeda is one of the main centers of Andalusian olive oil tourism: the Centro de Interpretación Olivar y Aceite (Olive and Oil Interpretation Center).

Advised by the expert staff of the center we'll enjoy a complete tasting of local oil varieties. Through a tasting of several samples, we'll appreciate the nuances that distinguish each oil: aroma, flavor, texture... Each one is unique!

During the tasting, we'll also learn how we can combine the olive oil from Jaen with multiple foods and recipes, since it's one of the essential ingredients of Spanish cuisine. At the end of the tasting we'll have learned some very advanced knowledge about the different types of oils – we'll be expert tasters!
